Proton Satria Neo R3 Concept

wow, I cant believe Proton just announce another concept that caught my attention in one day.

I think this looks better than the Proton Jebat.

Recaro racing seats

Dont let this R3 Concept fool ya. This thing has 200hp and 250Nm of torque, from their 1.6CPS Campro.. tuned no doubt.. with a turbocharger! It also gets R3 forged pistons, steel conrod, performance camshafts, reworked cylinder heads, carbon airbox, a new exhaust system and management computer.

Handling wise, it uses a complete AP Racing brake kit comprising 4-pot calipers, 295 mm floating discs and performance brake pads. The fancy Ohlins coil over suspension also make an appearance here. The show car wears 15-inch wheels with 195/50 Bridgestone Potenza RE55S semi slicks.

Dont think they are going to sell this though.

Proton Jebat Concept

Proton seems to be doing great over the recent years thanks to the new management, putting itself in the black and now, building concept cars. There was one that caught my eye, which Proton made based on the Proton Inspira… which is technically a Mitsubishi Lancer.

here’s a back shot

With a puffed wide bodykit style, the Jebat also has daytime LEDs light, 3 bonnet vents and rear spoiler, sitting on 18inch rims. Looks kinda like an Evo, ala Malaysian style!

This car is equipped with Recaro seats, black with red stitching as the theme for the interior, and a Clarion touch screen In-Car Entertainment (ICE) system. Other than that, not much changes.

Lets hope they materialize this car, cause it looks quite good. Rear could be improved still though.

So the ride in my car was feeling fucked up for some time now. Cornering at quite high speed (80kmph?) the car feels floaty and unresponsive didn’t give me the same confidence that I used to have on my Proton Savvy. Undoubtedly, despite the many flaws of my car, handling was one of the, or rather, the only thing that stood out among the rest.

Other problem I was facing was that my rear left side tyre was always leaking air. So finally I went to fix the tyre problem and found out the main reason for my fucked up ride. My absorbers were leaking. I guess the life of the stock ones already reached its end, stretching out for about 3 years.

So I guess its time to go shopping again! =D

One of my Savoc friend, Ady, brought me to see Jackson Bong (http://jacksonbong.blogspot.com), who happens to be the authorized dealer of Pro Ride and an entrepreneur selling car parts. The guy is only 24 years and still studying, but looks quite successful, starting from just online selling.

Anyways, I wanted to get me a pair of Pro Ride for Wira Absorbers. But after looking around, the Proton Wira version doesnt really fit my Proton Savvy because of the design and need some modifying. So he recommended me to get a pair of Proton Saga BLM Pro Ride Absorbers.

(yeah, sorry for the poor quality pictures. Took it from my Blackberry. Before you start bashing, its a Bold 9000 so you cant blame old tech!)

Rm120 a stick. Done and done. Since its was made for Proton Saga BLM, it was more than compatible with my Savvy

Installed it for rm20 for both side XD what a steal!

Drove my car for a while and oh my lord so much difference compared to those leaky stock ones.

About the absorbers, it runs on nitrogen gas, making the ride less bumpy and comfortable. Pro ride is very suitable for everyday drive and handles well.

Been laying off modifying car for a while now, but after changing my absorbers, I think the modding bug is coming back to me. It feels so tempting to change the front ones too. including the springs! At the end of the day, my poor wallet is the old that suffers.. sigh!

yeah I know this is old news, but yeah the iphone4 has reached the shores of Malaysia, officially that is. Before this iphone fans who have dough to blow will purchase from other countries and through grey market dealers, but finally the iphone4 is here!

I dont bash apple, i just bash iphones :) Blackbery all the wayyy ftw!

Anyways, Maxis and DiGi has launched their plans on the same day but both going on different types of plans.

The giant Maxis has 4 plans, the iValue1, iValue2, iValue3 and iValue4.

The plan consist of paying the phone first, at a subsidized price and then paying for a Maxis line with a monthly fee.

One glance is enough to see that iValue4 is the worst plan of all and any of you that is going to take this plan should go and evaluate your life.

ignore the calls and sms and data plan. i mean how much calls do you actually use? 2500mins a month? more than enough and 4gb of data is too much honestly unless you downloading stuff. but you can always use wifi for that.

but the most important thing is the monthly fee. Sure you can get the phone for free on a 2 years contract. here’s the formula for you

rm375 a month. x 12months x 2 years = rm9k at the end of contract. Rm9,000 for a phone which you cant change for 2 years. seriously? what if you lose or get your phone stolen halfway? and if by that time, iPhone6 should be out (if you see the history there’s a new iphone every year)

think about it.

On to the DiGi plan!

Now this is a plan worth having if you are desperate for the iphone4.

Pay rm2090 for the 16gb or rm2490 for the 32gb versions upfront and pay rm58 a month with auto billing for the next 24 months.

and the rm58 is actually paying for the monthly internet bill. you just pay for your calls and sms as you use at the normal rates. So much simpler and so much easier. and cheaper :)

but in conclusion i wouldnt bother with an iphone4.. rather wait for the Blackberry torch or a new version of the bold. I would however always pick the ipod touch over the iphone anytime. The new ipod touch has the same tech such as 5megapixel HD camera, retina display etc etc for the price of U$D 299 for the 16gb. just without the call and sms plans

cant believe it's news of cigarette prices increasing that help me start blogging again.

the price of a pack of 20 sticks will increase by 70 cents tomorrow. I guess Malaysia's rounding up system is at work again cause a pack costs rm9.30 now and by tomorrow, it'll cost an exact rm10 a pack tomorrow.

and packs of high-grade cigs will be expected to cost rm14.. the price hike would cause cigarettes sales to drop by 10%.

honestly if you think about it, an increase of 70cent will hurt smokers, but I seriously doubt it'll stop them. Its just an extra increase in tax revenues for the government by preying on addicts. If the government is really concerned to stop us from smoking and help us quit this addiction, they should just increase it by like rm10 a pack. the 10% decrease in sales is just a temporary drop which will jump back up sooner or later.

I mean, seriously, have you actually seen tobacco companies making a loss?

The best solution : just fucking quit.

ProDyno is located at Pending/Bintawa, just opposite of the Gold Coin factory.

This is James’s MarkII using a 2.5 2JZ engine with twin turbo. Most parts are stocked with some stage 1 mods.

So this year for mother’s day, i bought (well, shared with my siblings) a gift for my mom.

We bought her a new handphone since she has problem using her old Nokia because of the small wordings and small keypad.

It all happened unexpectedly. I was using my Blackberry the whole day without any problems then I noticed it began to lag.

annoying loading hourglass kept popping out even when I didnt touch it. so I just did what normal crackberry users are taught to do as a standard procedure….. BATTERY PULL.

Blackberries are like mini laptops, they will eventually lag and have memory leaks from time to time. So the best method to solve this is by doing a battery pull, leaving the batteries out for about 20 second, and attaching it back in. This would do a proper reset and bring your blackberry at its full capacity again.

But anyways, this time was different. My blackberry couldn't get back on after i plugged the batteries in! My life literally flashed before my eyes.

the problem was clear, when the loading bar came out and started to load, it stopped loading around 15% and just restarted by itself. it kept looping for the next hour and I finally threw in the towel.

I called for help and was led to crackberry forums where most of the genius of the world would be chatting.

searched up for “how to fix a nuked berry” and got my solution instantly!

Soon enough I was fixing it myself and got the loading under way. Pretty easy to fix a nuked/bricked berry actually. all you gotta do is click and wait lol.

a simple solution but one that is hopefully unnecessary for berry users out there.

After about 20 – 30mins, viola!!

my berry is running again, albeit losing everything including my apps and contacts. but at least it working, just give me time to sort it out.

and by the way friends, i lost all your contact so dont mind me if i answer and ask “who is this”. :)

didnt really get a good angle on the bike though, but it was pretty smashed up. the gearbox was stuck, the petrol tank leaked all over the place. The biker literally flew and landed sideways on the ground after ramming into me. Obviously i wasnt at fault but quite pity the guy. His pants was all covered in petrol but thank god he wasnt badly injured or anything.

its finally here!!
2 months of waiting and it's finally here!

the PROTON EXORA.

brand new and took it out for its first maiden voyage as a family car to dinner.
so far so good. fantastic car from Proton honestly. Not much to complain about. the ride is decent, the NVH is good, and equipped with many other features just made the Proton Exora a value for money car to buy.

Seriously, despite the lack of acceleration off the line, the 1.6CamPro CPS engine is doing a good job. Besides, its a family car, so off-the-line acceleration was never the main focus. 78k for H-line.

it's see if it's problematic Proton genes is recessive or dominate in coming few months : )

yep. New layout. notice how plain it is? just want to keep it simple from now on this blog. my blog is too messed up and filled with too many things, and in marketing, i've been taught that 'less is more' so less it is!!

sorry for the lack of updates. Internet is down these days and i finally found out what has been causing it. My brother plugged the same telephone line to the fax machine and somehow fucked up the connection between streamyx and the fax. so as long as the fax is unplugged i have relatively stable internet =D

the only reason i found that out was because i am now sort of working. more like become a human cctv to take of the shop and become a standby office boy.

Speaking of which, Proton Exora is going to come soon. =D

long story just to get this car.

was suppose to trade my old Volvo for the rm5k voucher but apparently Malaysian Government ran outta moolah, which caused Proton to reject my application but was kind enough to give a rm2k discount off my Proton Exora for free. And in conjunction with this month Exora rm1k discount, i got 3k off it, without sacrificing my old car.

after much talk with the family, we finally decided to go ahead with the Proton Exora. Problem now is my Proton Savvy's gotta go.

Reason is because many cases of Proton's Savvy AMT gearbox, sourced from Renault often seized and faced many problems. Repairing it will cost a hefty sum of 17 - 20k... when the car that i bought was only 30k.

anyways, that's it for the short update.

a chapter begins

I AM BACK IN KUCHING THANK GOD!

and just in time for the countdown to the coming new year. 2009 is coming to an end and 2010 is just a few hours away.

sorry for the lack of update these few months.
busy with school and manual labour moving my shop and house. My old shop in town is currently emptied out and left in ruins. Walls and other fixtures have been taken off and it really looks like a ghost house now.

and moving those inventories from a warehouse across town to a smaller shop is no easy task, with kgs and kgs of metal being carried up and down the stairs. even my 2nd floor cement is beginning to crack =X
Then there's the task of moving the 2nd floor and other furniture to my new house. its really damn hectic to be moving two places into a another two places lol.
But somehow, we manage to pull it off just in time to go sibu for my cousin's wedding in sibu.

and now i am back!!
finally.

2009 has been alright.. not much to talk about actually. 2010 is something good to be looking forward to as I have a new job!
Store Manager for my shop haha. fuck that shit, i'll be stuck at work starting next year. which is at home. so yeah, i'll have fun.

No resolutions for next year. Just take it as how it is. may only good things come for everyone!

fucked up my exams.
apparently I was the only one in the exam during the exam so my exit strategy had to be called off.

Streamyx/TM has become very bitchy lately, denying me internet access for the past few weeks since I got back from Singapore. its becoming a damn hassle especially when I was rushing my assignments, but now finally, i got it all done just in time!

and now, just as i thought i could kick back and relax from this whole assignment thing before preparing for my exams in 3 weeks time (yeah, fuck that shit) my family is starting to move my shop from town to my current house at pending. which only means waking up early and working till 5, just lifting and carrying stuff that weighs like an elephant. fucking stage bush weighs at least 70-80kgs to carry up two storeys man. slavery i tells you!

and every since I got back, my computer also seems to be acting up all the time. and my windows XP took forever to load when i turned on my computer, so I had to the only thing I could do.

Upgrade!!

Windows XP was shown the door and got a foot up its ass out of my life. Replacing it was Windows 7 OEM Final 32 bit. Bought from your local software pirate.

The difference is really astounding. the difference in the ability to process stuff and the cleverness of the Windows7 is really too good. Vista was a huge failure, but Windows7 is going to make it big. no doubt Bill Gates has Steve Job's calenders marked on the 22nd October 2009 as D Day. Cause that's when the real final retail version is going to be out. Of course, I shall be waiting for the pirate version of that. : )

Then there's another thing. I used to use Google Chrome after I got passed Firefox, but after using Windows 7, it appears to be blocking me from being able to download Google Chrome on my computer. It was really annoying so I decided to try something new.. It was the same browser I used on my Bold which was the Opera and it is pretty interesting. You can browse, check your mail, chat and do every other thing on Opera.

No harm checking that out.

I am already reaching my monthly limit on my brother's broadband, so until my Internet is stable again I shall hopefully blog some more.

Singapore Trip (quick update)

Sorry for being M.I.A. all this time.

Internet is down and kind of busy with my assignments and school work.
And i also made a trip to Singapore for fun.

still busy with my assignments so this post is going to be quick, before my internet dies on me.

Went there to just to have a look around and do a bit of shopping. It was a budget trip after all since we, as in my sister and I, only had $500 Singapore Dollars to play around with, excluding plane tickets and accommodation.

We stayed in my aunt's house who was there working and spent about 4 days just for sightseeing and shopping.

My aunt stays at Bukit Gombak area and we constantly went to Orchard Road. So those who knows Singapore knows that we spend at least half a hour just to get there and another half an hour just to get back.

Well, actually she only rented a room there, so the whole house wasnt hers and we had to squeeze into a small room.

It wasnt as small as i expected and was comfortable enough to fit everyone.

There was 4 mattresses and 2 fans with a tv and laptop. Enough to just chill and relax.

Didnt really go anywhere else and just some sightseeing.

Went to Bugis, Chinatown, Little India and Jurong East just to name a few.

Met up with Kai Lun for lunch and basically just hung around shopping complexes and malls.

didnt even get to go to Geylang.. : ( fuck.

and coming from singapore my life seems to be spiraling down faster than the recession.

the first thing that got fucked was my desktop.

which i got it up and running for about 12 hours. and in that 12 hours, internet connectivity was down.

so basically i had the comp, but no internet. And now i have the internet, and my comp is seriously fucked.
I have no idea why this shit always happen to me. its as thou things I own hates me. maybe life hates me. i guess i'll just do what i do best. suck it up, tell myself to look on the bright side of life, and bust whatever money I have to get the things fixed and just lock away my frustrations.

a little update on my car.

apparently there some internal problems with the car and luckily it wasnt that bad.

the ball joint is ruined and is the main culprit that makes the car feels damn fucked up. the ball is stuck behind the disc brake

went to Ah Tee to have it fixed.

i think i was ripped off because I didnt have the chance to go check out the market price but ah well.

at least its working.

rm175 for the ball joint problem and another rm50 for alignment and chamber nut.

ah well. at least its back to normal. only problem is the rips : (

Caught eating on tv?!

Last night I went for a family dinner at Holiday Inn, or known as the new Grand Margerita Hotel. Since I didnt eat the whole day, it was considered "buka puasa" for me as well : )

But upon arrival at the lobby, there was a camera crew standing right in front of the buffet.

I wanted to wait for the camera crew to be done before I proceed but hunger had the better of me that night and I went in, putting myself in the line of the camera. lucky they only got my back.

But to my annoyance, the camera crew seem to go be going near wherever we were sitting. and i thought my back is going to be famous until I think I was caught by the camera.

Not a good impression when you are pigging out..

aihhh...

was driving back from loyau after a lim teh session with some of the guys.

going back extra early today. around 1130pm which is quite possibly a miracle. which in the end as it turned out, it wasnt.

so before i start to explain the situation that i am presently in right now, gimme a moment for a long no.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

i vaguely remembered what happened because it happened all too fast. all i know that the aftermath is just burning a hole in my heart. and most probably my pockets.

I was right behind Wun when i was driving (not close at all i must add) and i brake very lightly to control my speed. And i most probably hit on a bump or pothole which caused my car to jerk to the right suddenly. I didnt manage to hold on hard enough and the car whacked the curb on my right. I did manage to pull it back into a straight line to avoid hitting the cars on my left lane.

this has most probably the most damage as it was the first thing to whack the curb

as I pulled over to check the car, the rims was as fucked up as this.

Then i try to drive it home because..well, i had no other choice.

But as soon i started driving, the most obvious feeling is the steering alignment is all fucked up because it wasnt straight and was surprizingly light when making turning.

the second thing was that the horrible sound coming out of the wheels. The right wheel sound damn fucked as though the it was running on the rims alone.

the third thing was the left side wheel also made noise and the brake was chewing on the disc.

some damages done to the rear rim.

the emergency pitstop (bus stop) at simpang tiga.

basically my car just got curb stomped : (

but the worst thing out of all this, excluding the repairs cost that i am gonna face and most probably the scolding I might gonna have from my mom when she gets back from Bintulu tomorrow, is this.

Hybrid cars - The best invention? or the worst?

Despite the world recovering from a major recession slowly moving along, the fact remains that the world still depends on fossil fuel to be keep the industrial world going. One of the most biggest consumers of fossil fuel is our automobiles. and thanks to the recession, reality gave a nice tight slap across the faces of crazy fuel guzzling and SUVs and all around the world especially in the US.

Because of the sudden awareness of the extinction of fossil fuel, many alternate sources of energy are now being researched and perfected. But the problem is with fuels like hydrogen which requires a revamp of the entire supply chain system, practically just goes down the drain and the demand and supply laws turns into a "chicken or the egg first?" question..

For example, hydrogen technology has been perfected and is going to be sold in the market. The problems faced is

1) there's no demand in the market because everybody is still using petrol car instead of hydrogen cars, hence the suppliers like Shell are relectuant to sell it on a huge scale.

2) since there's no fueling stations for hydrogen, consumers are relectuant to buy hydrogen cars because of hassle of looking for a specific station which could cities away.

So car manufacturers look for the fastest solution to the problem.

Hybrids.

Basically, its a combustion engine, pulling a electric motor which assists the car to use electric during low speed and boosts the engine when needed.

So anytime u cruising on a low speed, the electric motor would be moving, pulling your whole car while the combustion engine is completely off, hence saving fuel.

Energy lost during braking is now recycled back to be charged into the batteries for the electric motor.

and unlike electric cars, hybrids do not need to be plugged and charged and can be used anytime on the go like a normal car. Of course, if you forget to fill the tank…. Still, you can carry a gas can a half mile while a tow truck is necessary in a straight electric car.

Driving a hybrid means that you basically saving the world by going further in your car, lesser pollution and using less fuel! why not everybody use a hybrid???

Even Toyota thinks that Malaysia is going into the fuel saving craze now. By selling the Toyota Prius into the Malaysian market at Rm175k, Toyota assumes that Malaysians are awared enough to be environmental friendly to the world.

But there is, of course, like everything, there is flaws. and for the hybrid cars, it's bigger than anyone first thought.

Because hybrid engines is two different motors in one vehicles, all of these systems must work together, adding complexity. While cars and, just as importantly, the computers that control them, have become more reliable, they still suffer from failures. So owners of hybrids can expect more time in the shop and larger repair bills. If it's not the electric motors being damaged, then there's something wrong with your combustion engine. And trying to maintain a normal combustion engined powered car alone is already burning holes in your pockets, what more to say you now need to take car of two different types of motor? and most mechanics wouldnt have the proper training to deal with a hybrid.

Hybrids claims to be the most gasoline efficient of all cars - For example a Honda Civic Hybrid gets about 22.3km per litre (claimed). Not bad, but only about 20% to 35% better than a fuel efficient gasoline powered vehicle - like the Honda Civic, for example, that gets 17kilometers per litre. But, when comparing prices - the Honda Civic Hybrid cost from Rm130,000 and gas saver cars cost Rm100k - Rm130k - the justification to buy becomes less clear. And even so, the fuel savings arent even enough to cover backthe intial cost of buying a hybrid.

With only a marginal savings on gasoline and a much higher initial cost, hybrid builders are relying on two main factors to sell: the “green” image and the “new” technology. Any marketer will tell you that “new” and “green” are good for any sales. In the end, i think hybrids are mostly just a transition technology and we as a society that requires cars would eventually turn to alternative power such as hydrogen to power our world.

So being a big eater, naturally that wasnt enough.

So despite the poor service, we flipped the menu again.

apparently, Indonesia, our neighbouring country has been burning their forest down again for agriculture purposes and cause the smoke and haze to reach Malaysia. Along the border of Indonesia and Sarawak on Borneo, forest fires have been burning down acres and acres of virgin forests, spreading and increasing the haze into our land. The haze situation had worsened, adding that there were 164 hotspots statewide and 594 hotspots in neighbouring Kalimantan, Indonesia.

It is making life a living hell.

say you driving alone at night or afternoon, and you want to wind down your wind for fresh air and stop using the airconditioning for a while. 3 seconds after you wind down your aircond, the heavy smell of smoke and you can barely take a breath of fresh air.

The Drought

To top off the hazy weather, the lack of rain is also causing the haze to stay.

Apparently, El Nino, a typhoon that is raging in the South China Sea near China blowing all clouds forming above our heads. the lack of clouds, naturally produces the lack of rain causing a drought and the haze to stay.

Cloud seeding cant do much because clouds are needed for it. Cloud seeding is basically collecting clouds together and causing it to be heavy enough to cause rain, instead of the general perception of making clouds. Other than that, clouding seeding is not a cheap solution and costs millions of ringgit.

Miri, Sarikei and many places in Sarawak has already a shortage of water and water rationing for the whole Sarawak now is coming into order. So word of advice stock up on water!! you'll gonna be needing it bad!

and the heat!!!

The heat is really killing all living things in Sarawak. The haze traps the heat from the sun and choking us out of fresh air causing the land to be literally a living hell. The drought has caused no rain which does not cool us down and all these factors combined cause the heat to be a fucking bitch.

seriously. Try to walk out of Spring's front entrance in the afternoon and you are greeted by a lungful of hot, smoky air. and then comes the sweat from your forehead.

FML man. Fuck all our lives in Sarawak for that matter!

Sanga - The Feast

Lunch time. One of the best time for a feast.

But of course, my day only begins around 12pm. The life of a student *shrugs*

so 3pm, Erc, Ruby, Brian, Wun and I went for some japanese.

where else to eat japanese but Sanga where the food is cheap and fish is quite fresh?

To kick off the feast, we used our Sanga Salmon Sashimi coupons.

Rm5 a plate. But it wasnt included in our bill.. will show later.

Of course, that wasn't the tip of iceberg.

So came our Salmon Sashimi we ordered came. with tuna sashimi

Not long after that, Ruby's Lidako Sushi and Tako Bushi came..

with a dash of witchcraft, albeit being a reheated dish, the lasagna is the bomb.

Ok, fine. i am exaggerating.

it's may not the best lasagna, but the sauce is the best!

but it doesnt mean the lasagna itself sucks! : )

Only Rm15.90 excluding taxes! I might have been chanting this in my sleep last night thinking of it.

Logitech X-230 Speakers

I have two computer systems. and here's the situation.

A Windows XP Operating system desktop on my desktop with my 22" screen and internet access at my pending house and my Windows 7 test beta operating system on my laptop in my Foochow Road house. And I have a 500gb hard drive that contains all my tv series and basically my offline entertainment in that hard drive. An unfortunate event has caused me to reformat the hard drive but with some technical difficulty. So basically, my hard drive needs a Windows7 to access it to watch movies and tv series.

So when i need to go online i will stay at my pending house to download and do online stuff.

when i want to watch tv series and stuff I need to go my other house to do just that.

And another complication is that my laptop have the world's shittest speakers.
With VLC player turned to 400% and my settings for the audio to the maximum, the sound coming out of it is just whispers.

Being broke this remaining month, i dug as deep as i could into my pockets and whip out Rm200 to get myself a set of speakers.

There was a few criterias that I wanted. If not, i would have just gotten them cheap rm15 speakers.

First of all, the annoying sound when a handphone is about to ring or incoming message must be NON-EXISTENT!

second of all, since I getting a more.. respectable set of speakers I should go for sound quality.

and last, bass....... : )

Luckily I brought brian with me to help me check out them speakers.

Not a very easy choice and I would have easily bought a rip off pair of Altec Lansing which Saberkas is selling now for Rm200 a set.

phew.

So at last, Rm179 was burned on this.

A set of Logitech X-230.

Sound quality was crisp and clear for a set of somewhat low end speakers.

The bass was excellent, no doubts about it.

This is my set up.

I know its not much actually, but at least i can watch an entire video knowing what the fuck is actually going on.

exactly 1 month passed and now he is leaving back to the land of err.. the kangaroos.

Absinthe.

So the proper procedure of doing a shot of absinthe is

Step one, prep a few utensils and ingredients.

- sugar

- tea spoon

- shot glass

- lighter

-absinthe

Step two, take a tea spoon full of sugar and pour a bit of absinthe into it.

Step three, shot glass filled with absinthe

Step four, burn the absinthe with the sugar on the tea spoon

Step five, drop the burning tea spoon into the shot glass full of absinthe

Step six, DRINK!

Step seven, get a weird disgusted look on your face as the absinthe fill your mouth with Listerine taste and gives you the hot burning sensation down your throat and into your stomach.

Glass shot wasnt enough.. So Erc and I, well actually, most Erc, wanted to snort some absinthe.

I jsut did it because he did it twice. =.=

but it was really something new and something very refreshing : )

not recommended to try.

After the absinthe we washed our stomach and liver down with another 1 and 1/2 crates of beer.

A few months back, I was kinda bored with both my Sony Ericsson K750i (which has served me faithfully well and still continues to do so) and my Sony Ericsson K800i. It hit me that this two phones are actually the exact same phones, just that one is newer.

Then after i tried out some Sony Ericsson phones, i figured that all the menu are about the same and that there's not much new excitement since there is no learning curves for it anymore.

And a night at Brian's house, who kinda influenced me to make a this decision to sell my k800i to him since his own phone.

Pretty solid phone this.

but it has a new master now.

So anyways, i still a need a new phone to replace the one i sold off.

And here it is.

Yeah, its 2nd hand. But i just bought it for 1.7k, with 6 months warranty still on it.

but yet the shop said the guy who sold it to them did not sell them the leather pouch which was suppose to come with the phone.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Michael Jackson has lived as a great singer and an excellent dancer that took the world by storm and asserting himself as the King of Pop in the 1980s.

Coincidentally I myself was looking through Michael Jackson's life and watching videos of his life on YouTube and through several other websites. He was planning on a comeback tour and was working really hard for it but unfortunately, this very day, he passed on due to early speculations of cardic arrest.

His career and achievements took him to heights where many can only imagine and few manage to get close. from a young boy to his the peak of his career, he was a celebrity.

Joining the Jackson 5 with his other brothers, only at the age of 6 or 7, started his music career. peaking while he launched his best album, Thriller.

He took the world by storm and everyone sort of grew up with Michael Jackson.

But yet, after a series of scandals, his career free falled down to his ultimate bankruptcy and the media corrupted and slowly dismantled his image.

There is a few facts that should be pointed out.

Dubbed, Jacko the Whacko, Jackson was NOT a child molestor. The court found him not guilty on all counts of child molestion but he was so stressed out due to his career and the media, he just wanted to settle the case out of court.

He did not bleach his skin, as he was was diagnosed with vitiligo and lupus; the latter was in remission in Jackson's case, and both illnesses made him sensitive to sunlight. The treatments he used for his condition further lightened his skin tone, and, with the application of pancake makeup to even out blotches, he could appear very pale.

Went to school to pick up my results and to the most gruesome shock of my life, like a bullet train running at top speed and hitting me in the stomach, i saw an F for my Financial Accounting 2.

The same accounting paper that i have failed over and over again (of course, its my fault for not studying or even going to classes for it)

after running around the campus for a while, i finally walked into the staff room and to my greatest relief, my friend said there was a mistake in the Exam Unit Department.

I waited my turn and asked them to check and from an F, it turned into a C+ : )

so yeah.. woohoo! degree USQ, here i come

So i was driving on the normal route i take to.. well.. places..

then i notice at the big four way junction, the traffic light went out.

i immediately looked around and saw this..

this guy in the black Myvi is having a bad day. Notice he got into an accident with the traffic light pole?? and also getting stuck about 3 feet through the curb??

you think repairs gonna be a bitch with the destruction of public property then you should see this...

of course i have no idea who hit who first and how did it hit or whatever.

was there to see the aftermath..

Just know that this guy is not only in a hell lot of trouble...

but he is gonna be paying a hefty fine now..

Steamed Mustard Fish!

So after a real workout at a real gym with real men, a real man needs its real protein in a real meal to keep things.. well.. real??

So a real man (Erc) whips out 2 pieces of premium Dory Fish and defrost it over running tap water as he finds scour and raid his kitchen for ingredients.

and off he goes, as Erc ze Chef.

Ingredients:

2 pieces Dory Fish

aluminum foil

some small red onions that he could find

some garlic he found as well

and mustard. (cause real men love mustard!)

The garlic and red onion is chopped to perfection

and everything is set in place.

You see, the trick here is the mustard. more mustard, more flavouring.

The 2 pieces of wrapped up fish is set to steam (sorta boiled as well since the water was quite... generous) and after exactly 18 minutes, (1052-1110), the two pieces of fish is taken out to serve.

Amazingly, despite trying to minimize the oil..

it was soaked in it.

the second foil is open up to reveal a deliciously scented mustard dory fish...

actually it didnt taste so bad.

was pretty good cos the fish was fresh and the meat was tender.

Beware the Black Scam!

been reading TheStar today and i came across this article.

Apparently, Malaysians have been conned by African trickers over Rm20Million, with 11 internationally known types of scam tactics that has been at large over the past decade now in Malaysia.

One of which is the Black Money scam, which promises non-existent wealth to its victims.

Nobody is safe as statistics show most victims are educated people such as lawyers, accountants and even politicians! Goes to show, no matter how clever you think you are, greed will ALWAY get the better of you.

Most of these African con artist originates from Nigeria, Liberia, Cameroon, Senegal and Sieera Leone. Many of them can enter the country on a social visit pass which allows a 30 days stay, and to extend their "visit" they enrol into local colleges just to obtain student visas.
Once they have a secure footing and location in the city, they would being their work.

Often they reach out by sending out random emails and SMSes, promising huge piles of money as reward and usually require a processing fee in advance from their targets.

In the Black Money scam, victims are informed about a stash of bank notes, usually in USD, which is supposedly dyed black to avoid Custom's detection and to be brought into the country. The money is supposedly kept somehwere safe and the victim needs to purchase a chemical to wash off the dye which will make the Black Money usable. Of course, victims would be promised a portion of the money.

The origin of the money would often vary as they make up new stories for different victims and the most common of all would be a fortune of the former Nigerian dictator, General Abacha, who need to transport the money without Customs detection.

These con artist would meet up with their victims with a pile of the Black notes with a small vial of washing liquid and would ask the victim to select any black bank note at random. The note would be washed but would be substituted with a real note. The hand is always quicker than the eye. The "washed" note would be given and verified at the money changer to gain the victim's trust and to fuel their greed.

Here, the whole scam begins to go into fruitation.

The victims would be asked to buy the chemical to "process" and "wash" more money and the chemical would cost alot. And victims will often let greed take the better of them and purchase a lot, concluding the transaction and the con artist disappearing without a trace.

Many of these con artist from Africa that had been caught often recite verses from the Quran to claim themselves as Muslim to gain sympathy from our Muslim laws and lack of evidence to charge them and the worst case senario would find these con artist been deported back to their home countries.

So beware of the Black Money scam.

Greed is powerful motivator, but bear in mind, fortune does not just fall on your lap.
